Lithuania sends army instructors to train Ukrainian troops

According to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, the Lithuanian army instructors arrived in the mission locations in Ukraine on Wednesday and are getting ready to carry out their task. Ukrainian troops will be trained by troops from the mechanized infantry brigade Iron Wolf’s Lithuanian Grand Duke Kęstutis mechanized infantry battalion.

The United States is implementing a training program for Ukraine’s National Guard ad Lithuania is contributing to the process by sending army instructors.

It’s not the first time that Lithuania contributes to training of Ukrainian troops. At the beginning of this year, Lithuanian army paramedics provided medical assistance and trained Ukrainian army paramedics together with American counterparts.
