Lithuanian cyclist Krupeckaitė secures place in top eight at Rio Olympics

The first attempt of the Lithuanian athlete was unsuccessful, but she did not give up and secured a place in top eight after the successful consolation race.

“When there is a group run, there are a lot of people and it is a little easier to control the group from the front than from the rear, because you have a 5-metre advantage over other people. Of course, it all depends on what athletes are behind you. In most cases, at least for me it is easier to control the situation from the front,” said Krupeckaitė.
