Lithuanians Days in Ukraine are an annual event held in various regions of the country to showcase Lithuanian businesses, culture, traditional arts and crafts, cuisine, tourism and studies opportunities, it said in a press release.
The event in Odessa was opened by the foreign ministers of Lithuania, Sweden and Ukraine and the city’s officials.
The foreign ministers congratulated Ukrainians on the start of visa-free travel to the Schengen area.
Lithuania’s top diplomat Linas Linkevicius noted that Lithuanian Days, which are taking place in Odessa for the third year in a row, reflected “especially friendly and strong relations between Lithuania and Ukraine”.
Lithuanian Days earlier this month took place in Kharkov. Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite opened the event during her visit to in the eastern Ukrainian city last week.
