Lithuanian foreign minister conveys condolences over deaths in Donetsk coal mine

“I am sending heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and all people of Ukraine. We are mourning the loss together with Ukraine,” Linkevičius said in a message to his Ukrainian counterpart, Pavlo Klimkin, cited by the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Death of 32 persons in the explosion in the coal mine in Donetsk, which is controlled by Russian-supported separatists, was announced by Ukraine’s Supreme Rada Speaker Volodymyr Groisman. A few dozen mine workers remain underground.
