“Today, when the world faces major political, economic and social challenges, I believe very strongly that collaboration between Lithuania and China at both bilateral and multilateral levels as well as within the context of the EU-China relations will contribute to a responsible resolution of key international issues and full support to peace and security,” the Lithuanian president wrote in her message of congratulations.
Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius sent a letter of congratulation to Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang, wishing the people of China prosperity and well-being.
“Let me express my satisfaction with the progress of the political and economic dialogue between our two states, which has become ever more active recently. China is a highly important partner of Lithuania in Asia: we seek to further develop and deepen our bilateral cooperation, and continue our cooperation in the One Belt, One Road initiative, which has been initiated by China, as well as in other international cooperation formats,” reads the PM’s letter to his Chinese counterpart.
