“Yesterday a message came from a reliable source that my friend, who is currently there, is alive. He is all right,” said Vilija Karalevičiūtė.
She still does not know whether the Lithuanian man has managed to save his home, or whether he has water or food.
“So far I only know that he is not hurt and does not need medical assistance,” said Karalevičiūtė.
Karalevičiūtė said that the army and other officials had already reached the victims and are helping to deal with the consequences of the earthquake. Medical assistance has arrived to the devastated region with volunteers bringing food and water.
