Lithuanian online media suspect preparations for major cyber attack

For some time, users were not able to access the websites of the biggest online news portals. However, access was soon restored.

Meanwhile 15min.lt, one of the affected websites, reports that the incident was merely a technical hiccup and not any orchestrated attempt to derail Lithuania’s online media.

According to 15min.lt, since all major online news outlets in Lithuania use services of the same companies, it is not unlikely that some technical malfunction could affect all of them simultaneously.
