“May I extend our greetings over Kazakhstan’s successful completion of the negotiations for the membership in the WTO. I sincerely hope that the membership will contribute to the economic growth of Kazakhstan will open new opportunities for mutual cooperation and provide an incentive for our businesses to find a niche in one of the largest markets in Central Asia,” reads the PM’s letter to Kazachstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov.
With the approval of the membership by the WTO General Council on 27 July, Kazakhstan has committed to liberalize its trade regime create transparent, stable and predictable environment for trade and foreign investment, and prevent discrimination against foreign goods and services, while treating importers the same way as local producers.
