“The president will soon go to Berlin, Germany where the magazine publishers’ association presents the “European of the Year” award and it will be presented to the Baltic states for their road to independence and economic achievements,” Grybauskaitė’s chief foreign policy adviser Jovita Neliupšienė told the Žinių Radijas news radio on Tuesday.
“In December, the traditional meeting of the Baltic presidents is planned in Estonia. And finally in the middle of December the president will attend a European Council, the last one this year, but the first chaired by former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk,” the adviser said.
The Office of the President of Lithuania said earlier, the Golden Victoria awards would be presented on 6 November to the Baltic states for their peaceful independence restoration and integration into the family of European countries.
Uniting over 400 publishers, the German association presents awards in four categories, including for the promotion of European integration, the spread of European ideas, business achievements and lifetime achievements.
