Lithuanian president says Turkey is important partner

“(The visit) is important for Lithuania, as the country is a member of NATO, which is also involved in the making of security decisions in our region, has served in the air-policing mission, and economic cooperation is also important,” Grybauskaitė told the national radio LRT.

In her words, Turkey is an important business partner, as exports to the country grew by a third over the first half of 2014 alone. Therefore, the president has pledged to help businesses to search for new markets and gain grounds in Turkey, which offers a huge potential.
