Lithuanian president tops Ukraine’s list of international friends

Among the other influential European and world political figures included into this year’s top ten list for advocating and promoting the interests of Ukraine are Sweden’s former prime minister and foreign minister Carl Bildt, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, US Vice-President Joe Biden, Senator John McCain, Hungarian-born US investor George Soros and other prominent individuals.

According to the press release, the rating is based on a survey conducted by prominent experts from Ukraine and other countries – journalists, political scientists, public figures, and representatives of non-governmental organizations. It lists politicians and other outstanding figures for their continuous representation of Ukraine’s interests on the international arena, unwavering support to Ukraine in the foreign media, and constant promotion of European reforms.
