Meetings with professionals of Lithuanian origin were organized in cooperation with Lithuanian consulates, Lithuanian communities in the U.S. and organizations run by professionals in the regions.

As way of inspiring discussion surrounding the importance of global thinking and how individual success stories have contributed to Lithuania’s quick rate of economic development, the GLL invited guest speakers to share their personal experiences about how to build and maintain strong relations with Lithuania.

The speakers also offered advice on how professionals can assist Lithuania in sustaining its reputation on international markets.

The main speaker at the New York event was Lithuanian-American. Mrs. Cynthia Pasky, the founder and manager of Strategic Staffing Solutions.

She received the Global Lithuania award for attracting a high number of foreign investments to Lithuania.

Pasky invited international Lithuanians to become investment ambassadors, and said a flight ticket to Lithuania for a potential investor is already a guarantee of a successful business.

“The most important thing is to bring investors to the country,” she said. “Then an investment will be assured.”
By championing Lithuania’s intelligent workforce and investment opportunities, Pasky’s company has contributed to the development of the Lithuanian economy by attracting the consistently growing international companies such as Barclays, Western Union, and Intermedix.
