Answering a call by the Mothers’ Union, a Lithuanian-based organization working to support children with cancer and their families, Iceland’s Lithuanian community collected presents to be sent to the little ones in Lithuania.
Pupils of the Lithuanian school Three Colours and their parents put together a package that will be handed over to cancer hospital patients in Lithuania, according to the community’s press release.
“What a pleasant feeling it was to see the children’s benevolence and resolution to do something in order to brighten the days of the little hospital patients. Many of them brought toys to class and put them in a special box to be sent to their beloved Lithuania,” Iceland’s Lithuanian community said in the press release.
