Lithuania’s new ambassador to Russia should take office in late January

The appointment is envisaged in a decree drafted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The government should decide as to whether the candidate will be proposed to the president on Monday.

Lithuania’s current Ambassador to Russia Renatas Norkus should be recalled from Moscow on 22 December.
