The exercise will test processes of planning, prevention and response of national authorities in emergency conditions as well as provide feedback on possible improvements, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence reports.

This is the first exercise of such type held at the ENSEC COE, also involving representatives of Qatar and the UAE, countries of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI), aimed at achieving security and stability in the Gulf region.

Focusing on prearranged scenarios teams of subject-matter experts will be looking for solutions in ensuring security of objects of critical infrastructure in case of terrorist or cyber-attacks, and will test interoperability of institutions in such conditions.
