Earlier, the agreement was signed on behalf of Lithuania by National Defence Minister Juozas Olekas and Supreme Allied Commander Europe General Philip M. Breedlove, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence said on Friday.
Signed by all parties, the agreement will need the Seimas of Lithuania‘s ratification.
The document regulates the privileges and immunity of NATO personnel and their family members arriving in Lithuania as well issues related to their movement and presence in Lithuania, transportation, medical services, employment of local personnel, etc.
