NATO starts one of biggest exercises Saber Strike 2015 in Baltic states

A total of over 3,000 soldiers from Lithuania, NATO countries and partner-nations will be present in Lithuania at a time, Lithuania’s Armed Forces confirmed to BNS.

Held on June 1-19, the training will consist of two phases, namely, a field training and a brigade staff training with computerized simulators.

The overall goal of the US Army Europe-organised international Exercise Saber Strike 2015 is to develop and enhance the cooperation in planning and executing military operations, improving professionalism of military personnel and training to render Host Nation Support, the Ministry of National Defence said.
