“The main thing is to talk about the problems that are plaguing both states, any unresolved issues we may have between us,” Skvernelis told reporters on Wednesday.
“Finally, to sit down and talk directly about what positions there are and what myths there are. Because today there are quite a lot of myths that are communicated to Warsaw, not without efforts from within our country,” the prime minister said.
“I hope this will be the first contact that will allow us to speak to each other without intermediaries,” he added.
The first bilateral meeting between Skvernelis and Szydlo is scheduled to take place in Tallinn next Monday within the framework of the Baltic Council of Ministers.
Skvernelis said that Poland was a key partner in security, economic, energy and transport.
