PM pledges to boost public broadcaster’s TV signal for Lithuanians in Poland

“We have already preliminary agreed with LRT director Garbačiauskaitė-Budrienė on boosting the signal,” the prime minister told BNS Lithuania by phone from Poland he visited on Wednesday.

He said he was told of such a need during a meeting with members of the local Lithuanian community. The prime minister was told that Lithuanians living in Punks, Sejny and Suwalki have problems watching and listening to LRT TV and radio programs due to bad reception.

“We will be looking for solutions to boost the signal or find other ways for LRT to be available for Lithuanian people living there,” the head of the Lithuanian government said.
