“The leaders of the PLJS highly contribute to creating Lithuania’s image in the world, maintaining the Lithuanian identity and attracting investments to Lithuania. By frequently returning to Lithuania, you participate in discussions with representatives of business, science, culture and politics, you seek best solutions for building modern Lithuania,” the prime minister said in a press release.
In the Office of the Government, members of the PLJS met with representatives of business promotion agencies Enterprise Lithuania and Invest Lithuania who presented their activities and the nearest plans.
On 21 December, the World Lithuanian Youth Association (PLJS) held training which was attended by young Lithuanians from 14 countries. The goal of the PLJS, which was established in 1972, is to represent the interests of world Lithuanian youth, promote and carry out activities beneficial to the society and the state.
Currently the PLJS unites over 40 Lithuanian youth unions across the globe and has its representation office in Lithuania, where it develops cooperation with Lithuanian state institutions, non-governmental organisations and private enterprises.
