“If it becomes clear that the minister lied, I will suggest he resign. If he does not comply, I will present his compulsory resignation to the president,” said Butkevičius in a televised interview on Tuesday.
According to him, he is waiting until Wednesday night for his advisors’ conclusions regarding legal questions in minister Trečiokas’ case. Trečiokas is accused of having used his influence to secure permission for the construction of a manor in a questionably legal location.
