Putin holds Russia’s Security Council meeting over more shelling of Donbas

“The meeting separately discussed the situation in the wake of more frequent shelling by the Ukrainian forces of populated areas in the Donbas region and OSCE mission representatives,” the Kremlin press office said.

“The meeting also touched upon the issues related to measures to counter the spread of the Islamic State grouping,” the press office said.

The Security Council meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Speaker Sergey Naryshkin, Security Council Head Nikolay Patrushev and his deputy Rashid Nurgaliyev, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Federal Security Service Head Alexander Bortnikov and Security Council permanent member Boris Gryzlov.
