Seimas speaker meeting with Latvian colleague in Jūrmala

Pranckietis is going to Latvia on the eve of the meeting of the Baltic prime ministers in Incukalns, Latvia, and Parnu, Estonia, as well as in the run-up to the NB8 meeting of parliamentary speakers in Norway, the Lithuanian parliament’s Public Relations Division said in a press release.

The Lithuanian and Latvian parliamentary speakers will focus on preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels and support to Ukraine and the reforms underway in Georgia and Moldova. They will also discuss the Lithuanian initiative of blocking electricity imports from the unsafe Astravyets facility.
