Sungailienė was selected as CEO by the the state postal company’s management board last Friday and will take up her new position after the Bank of Lithuania gives the go-ahead, the Transport and Communications Ministry told BNS.
It expects all the formalities to be completed in about a month.
Transport and Communications Minister Rokas Masiulis says that the new CEO’s key task is ensure Lietuvos Paštas’ financial stability, to evaluate the so-called Mobile Postman program, which is currently put on hold, and to seek that all of to the company’s employees receive “decent” salaries.
Sungailienė has 20 years of experience in management positions and currently works as a member of the management board at the private equity and investment management company Ad Ventum. Previously, she had worked for around 20 years at SEB Lithuania and VB Rizikos Kapitalo Valdymas (VB Venture Capital Management).
