Ties with Brazil are gaining momentum, Lithuanian foreign minister says

“Today we are talking about our cooperation in the fields of innovation, life sciences, agriculture and tourism, as we can see mutual benefits of this. Export of Lithuanian fish and fishery products to Brazil’s market of almost 200 million citizens have been authorised by the Government of Brazil. This is a good start in terms of further development of economic relations,” said Linkevičius.

The ministers discussed the relations between the European Union and Brazil, key global diplomacy and regional issues. Linkevičius underlined that the international community had to send a clear and unified message to Russia, condemning Russia’s actions in Ukraine.

The minister of external relations of Brazil accepted an invitation to visit Lithuania.
