“First of all, we will talk about the situation in Ukraine, which is deteriorating. Described as Russia’s open participation in a war on Ukraine, the situation means Russia’s participation against a country that wants to integrate with the European Union. It means that Ukraine is fighting a war for us, as well. Therefore, it is crucial to help it – to help it with military measures, and this is something we will have to do,” said the Lithuanian president.
The summit will also address possible new sanctions against Russia, which Kiev and the Western world have accused of sending troops and munitions to Eastern Ukraine.
