“Here in the Baltics, it would mean positioning more American equipment, so it’s ready if needed. It would mean more training and exercises between our militaries. And it would mean more US forces, including American boots on the ground, continuously rotating through Estonia and Latvia and Lithuania,” Obama said in Tallinn.
Earlier on Wednesday, the US president also announced plans to send more fighter-jets to exercises in the Nordic-Baltic region, saying that they will be carried out from the Estonian air base in Amari.
