Volunteers in green jackets offering assistance to Vilnius tourists

On their free time, the volunteers interact with visitors to the city, hoping to assist them and leave a good impression about Lithuania.

For the volunteers, this is a great way to spend the summer, to meet new people and improve their foreign language skills, they say.

“I like talking to people and I’d like to speak English,” says Giedrius Mickevičius, one of the volunteers. “It is great fun, since people who come to Vilnius from other countries are usually in good spirits and I enjoy helping them out.”
