Among speakers and discussion participants of the four-day event will be more than 150 prominent figures from business, culture, politics and science. Youth projects in various fields will also be presented during the meeting, which will also include a career fair, creative workshops, sports events and concerts by famous bands, movie screenings and theatre performances every evening.
The main events of the meeting are planned for Friday and Saturday, which, among other things, will feature discussions about rallying Lithuanians around the globe, Lithuanian diplomacy, high-tech business and business startups, the influence of technologies on the labour market and culture.
On Friday, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė and Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius will open the event. Grybauskaitė is the patron of the meeting.
The main objective of the World Lithuanian Youth Summit is to promote communication and cooperation among young Lithuanians living in Lithuania and abroad, facilitate unimpeded communication and exchange of contacts with Lithuanian business, cultural, political and academic world figures.
The conference is organized by the World Lithuanian Youth Association.
