Yalta invites US presidential candidate Donald Trump

“We are watching the presidential race in your country with intense interest. We are fond of your programme and like your marked individuality,” Rostenko says in a letter to Trump. “After your victory at elections, you are going to establish friendly relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and it is a wonderful decision.”

The schedule of the visit drafted by the Yalta authorities includes Trump’s trip to Roosevelt Street, the only street in Russia named after an American president.

“We are looking forward to seeing you and wish you success at the election,” the letter says.
