Ban on unvaccinated children in kindergarten to be investigated by courts

The investigation into whether or not the order was legal was requested by members of the Seimas (parliament).

The Ministry of Health has prepared legal amendments that would levy fines on parents whose children have not been vaccinated from polio, measles and rubella. Rimantė Šalaševičiūtė, the current Minister of Health, has indicated that the prohibition on the enrollment of unvaccinated children in kindergarten will be removed if the Seimas were to accept the proposed legal amendments stipulating fines for unvaccinated children.
