Gintare Binkevičiūtė, project manager at the Compensa concert hall, told BNS that the rapper wanted to give a performance in the Lithuanian capital in November.

“Timati sings his praises to Russian President Vladimir Putin, campaigns in support of Russia’s policy in Ukraine and approves of the annexation of Crimea. The managers of the Compensa concert hall found the Russian performer’s attitude unacceptable,” the concert hall said in a press release, commenting on its decision.

According to the press release, the concert hall has in the past said “no” to a concert by Russian singer Lev Leshchenko and several other Russian performers for “information security reasons”.
