Agriculture minister lobbies LIDL to sell more Lithuanian goods

Minister of Agriculture Virginija Baltraitienė has met with the CEO of the retail chain Lidl, Radostin Dimitrov Roussev-Peine, to discuss the prospects and challenges of the country’s food industry.

“We want that more local manufacturers‘ products would reach supermarket shelves. I am glad that Lidl is ready to cooperate in this regard,” said Baltraitienė in a statement.

Lidl representatives said they would be interested in having all the production they sell made in Lithuania.
