Ankara bombing condemned as terror attack by Lithuanian Foreign Minister

“Obviously, it was a terror attack, and probably hardly anyone has doubts about that. (…) It’s hard to see for us who’s responsible for this incident but we definitely see that it’s happening too often. Therefore, it will further make the situation in the region tenser,” the minister told Žinių Radijas on Thursday morning.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Thursday condemning the attack in Turkey.

“This is an attack not only against Turkey and its people, but also against the entire international community. Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry expresses sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims and to all the people of Turkey,” the statement reads.

At least 28 were killed and 61 were wounded during the attack when a vehicle full of explosives was detonated as military buses were passing by.
