Baltic States discussing automatic recognition of each other’s university diplomas

“Under the treaties, diplomas would be automatically recognized in Lithuania,” Eugenijus Jovaiša, chairman of the parliamentary Education and Science Committee, told BNS.

The Education and Science Ministry said Lithuania would want the treaty to be signed in June.

In Jovaiša’s words, after the treaty takes effect, graduates of universities in Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia will be able to proceed to the next phase of education in any other country and get employment without any additional approval of their diplomas.
