The storm that swept through Lithuania last weekend could have caused damage of up to a €1 million euros with 1,000 incidents of damage already registered with insurers.
The average damage claim is running at around €2,000 following the storm according to the head of Lithuanian Insurers Association Andrius Romanovskis.
As not everyone who suffered damage from the storm are insured, more than €600,000 has been set aside by the insurance companies to compensate those affected, Romanovskis said.
