The EC announced on Friday proposals to allocate 5.141 billion euros, based on the current prices and inflation taken into consideration, to Lithuania’s agriculture sector and rural areas in 2021–2027, up 1.4 percent from 5.071 billion euros in 2014–2020.
Brussels proposes cutting support for Lithuania’s rural development program 15.3 percent to 1.366 billion euros. Meanwhile, the share of direct payments would grow 11.1 percent to 3.771 billion euros.
