Data from March shows that confidence rose in all business areas – the industrial, construction, retail trade and services sector. The study carried out interviews with business leaders and assessed their views on changes in the business environment in Lithuania and future expectations.
Industrial sector leaders say good prospects for orders for the coming months, while the construction sector companies, even if generally evaluating business environment better than last month, continue to show concern about the volume of future orders.
There is an obvious seasonality in changes in sentiment observed in all the surveyed sectors and it can conceal long term trends. Confidence in industry and construction are at a lower level compared to the same time last year.
Meanwhile, the service and retail sectors, which are essentially a reflection of domestic demand, show a consistent increase.
