Seimas endorsed the Strategy for the Demographic, Migration, and Integration Policy for 2018–2030

In consideration of the adverse effects on the national economy, social welfare system, as well as Lithuania’s national and social development caused by a complicated demographic situation in Lithuania, with steady emigration rates and the fertility rate below the generation replacement level, the Seimas endorsed the Strategy for the Demographic, Migration, and Integration Policy for 2018–2030. The respective resolution of the Seimas (draft No XIIIP-2025(3)) approving the Strategy was adopted by 77 votes in favour, with 3 votes against and 24 abstentions, a press release from Seimas states.
