The party also approved a scheme for general election of candidates for single-member districts in parliamentary elections, for city mayors and the party’s candidate list for the European Parliament (EP).
The proposal is based on experience of other countries when leaders of largest parties and candidates for key state positions are elected by all citizens, not just the party’s members.
The way of voting is yet to be decided by the party’s council.
