The Constitutional Court has ruled that the lawmaker grossly violated the Constitution and breached the oath by concealing his ties with Piotr Voyeiko, a former KGB agent.
“This is unacceptable in a normal rule-of-law that a person who violated the Constitution and his oath of office continues working in the parliament,” Žalimas told BNS on Wednesday.
“However, the parliament’s political decision is to continue working with such individual. This says nothing good about anyone,” he added.
Žalimas refused to elaborate on politicians’ discussions on a repeated vote.
