Rūta Pentiokinaitė, the acting general manager of the Enterprise Lithuania nonprofit organisation, has won the competition to become the organisation’s official general manager.
The Ministry of Economy announced Pentiokinaitė’s appointment on Wednesday.
Enterprise Lithuania is a nonprofit tasked with promoting both domestic and foreign business development in Lithuania.
The organisation has lacked a general manager since November of last year, when then-general manager Mantas Nocius resigned. Until Pentiokinaitė became the acting general manager, she had worked as the head of Enterprise Lithuania’s service and product contact centre. Until then, Pentiokinaitė, who holds a master’s degree in Law, had no significant leadership experience.
The Ministry of Economy received 6 applicants for the position. The applicants were tasked with submitting a program for the organisation that they would implement as its general manager, and 3 of the applicants participated in this process.
Pentiokinaitė will be appointed general manager by the Minister of Economy’s decree once the Special Investigation Service (STT) does a background check to confirm that Pentiokinatė has an irreproachable reputation.
