Farmers remain most popular but down by 1/3 since January

Should the general elections be held on the nearest Sunday, LFGU would be supported by 19.9 percent of those polled, down by 2.5 percentage points over the past month. The decline is within the margin error, however, the party’s popularity dropped by a third since early 2017, from 30.7 percent to 19.9 percent.

The conservative Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats rank second with support from 14.6 percent of respondents, up by 3.4 percentage points month-on-month. Meanwhile, the Social Democrats who elected a new leader would secure votes of 11.2 percent of those polled, which is an increase by 4 percentage points from the last poll a month ago.

The popularity list is continued by the Liberal Movement, which lost 1.5 points to 5.5 percent in April. According to the survey, other parties would not win mandates in multi-mandate voting.

The representative survey of 1,005 respondents was conducted for delfi.lt news portal by Spinter Tyrimai (Spinter Surveys) public opinion and market research company on April 19-26. The margin error is 3.1 percent.
