42-year-old M. Kvietkauskas finished Lithuanian Language and Literature Studies at Vilnius University, worked at the editorial office of the Metai journal, studied Judaica at Oxford University.
From 2005 he worked at Vilnius University, earning his humanitarian sciences doctorate in 2006 and becoming docent in 2015.
Since 2008, he has been working at the Lithuanian Literature and Folklore Institute, working as the institution’s director from 2008 to 2018.
