Food Bank representative Vaidotas Ilgius noted that this collection saw more expensive food products than had previously been donated.
“There were less donations of the very cheapest food products, and people were more willing to buy more expensive food products – different types of preserved foods, especially canned vegetables, coffee, cookies, chocolate, jam – all products that families, especially those raising children, love,” Ilgius told LRT RADIJAS.
A majority of the food donate should reach disadvantaged families by Easter.
