On Thursday, the Lithuanian Peasant and Greens Union presented all the candidates standing in single member constituencies in Vilnius.
The leader of the list, former interior minister Saulius Skvernelis, will run for a seat in Karoliniškės single member constituency.
He will compete with the former mayor of the capital, the Lithuanian Freedom Union leader Artūras Zuokas, social democrat Justice Minister Juozas Bernatonis, as well as the Lithuanian Green Party chairman, member of the Seimas Linas Balsys.
“For a long time I have lived Karoliniškės, I know the problems of that area,” said Skvernelis after being asked why he had chosen to stand in Karoliniškės.
