French fighter jets land in Lithuania for NATO air policing mission

The four jets made a successful landing before 6PM (local time) on Sunday, Ieva Gulbinienė, public relations officer at the Air Base, confirmed to BNS.

The French airmen will replace the Portuguese troops currently conducting the mission with four F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters.

The official exchange ceremony of the contingents conducting the NATO air policing mission in the Baltic states will be held at the air base on Wednesday.
