“Just as we promised, we are stretching a helping hand to those making the smallest salary. Twenty euros may be nothing for some people, while others can buy their family food for a week,” Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis said in a press release.
The increased minimum monthly salary would be paid to around 264,000 employees, including approximately 27,000 unqualified workers employed in budgetary institutions and making 380 euros per month.
Lithuania’s minimum monthly salary was last raised to 380 euros in July of 2016.
