The initiators of the proposal have suggested changing the tax-free income level to match this year’s minimum wage.
They say that most workers will receive wages higher than the minimum and that the greatest benefit of such a change would be for the country’s lowest income earners. This, they say, would ensure that low income earners receive real financial help and that social isolation is reduced.
