The news was confirmed to Elta by the Ministry of Agriculture on Monday.
Gineikaitė is suspected is drunk driving and causing a traffic accident.
The investigation into a suspected attempt to cover up Gineikaitė’s intoxication is carried out by the Special Investigation Service (STT) and Kaunas Clinical Hospital.
Gineikaitė was involved in a traffic accident in Kaunas on December 19. The police said on-site breath test showed 1.66 permil alcohol in her bloodstream, but Gineikaitė challenged the results and insisted on a blood test at Kaunas Clinical Hospital.
She had been on a leave of absence pending the investigation.
